We collect information you provide directly such as your name, email address, and payment details when you create an account. We also collect information automatically including log data, usage patterns, and device identifiers. Files you upload are stored encrypted solely to provide the file-sharing service.
We use collected information to operate and improve Letshareit, process transactions, send transactional emails, respond to support requests, and detect fraud or abuse. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
All files are encrypted at rest using AES-256. On Pro and Team plans, zero-knowledge encryption means even Letshareit staff cannot access your file contents. Files are automatically deleted upon link expiry.
We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. With your consent, we use analytics cookies via a privacy-respecting, self-hosted solution. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking pixels.
We use a limited set of trusted sub-processors payment processing (Stripe, Razorpay and PayPal). Each is bound by data processing agreements. We do not share your data with any other third party without your explicit consent.
Account data is retained for the lifetime of your account. Upon deletion, we remove your personal data and all associated files within 30 days. Billing records are retained for 7 years per accounting regulations.
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@letshareit.com. We will respond within 30 days.
Letshareit is not directed to children under 13 (or 16 in the EU). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email and by posting a notice at least 14 days before changes take effect.
